The Institution of Permanent Way Engineers is associated with the University of Delhi. The college provides a Diploma programme in Railway Engineering. The institution's objective is to promote the sharing and exchange of technical knowledge regarding the design, construction, and maintenance of bridges and other constructions among its members. In order to achieve this objective, the institution actively encourages and organises seminars, lectures, discussions, exhibitions, and other events for the purpose of informing and benefiting its members.
The institution also disseminates and circulate technical information to promote the exchange and sharing of ideas.
About IPWE
The Institution of Permanent Way Engineers (India) is a technical organisation established under the authority of the Railway Ministry. Its purpose is to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise among Railway Engineers involved in the construction and maintenance of railway tracks, bridges, and other structures. The Institution was established on May 18, 1967, with its Headquarters located in Pune. It was later officially registered as a Public Trust Office in Pune on July 28, 1972.
