Anna University’s online MBA programs require the Entrance Exam as the only admission method. There is a required test for all applicants. Students can fill out the form for admission on the university website after the form is released.
Online Admission Process
To enroll in Anna University’s online programs, please follow these steps:

Examination Pattern
Online exams are conducted by Anna University’s Controller of Examinations. The official in charge of Exams will choose and manage proctored exam staff and logistics.
5.1 The evaluation shall include ongoing or formative assessment and summative assessment in form of end-semester or term-end exams. Before the semester or term end exam, the student must participate 75% in all online program activities.
5.2 Each theory course can have 100 marks, with 30 for ongoing evaluation and 70 for end-semester exams. Each theory course will have an end-of-semester exam.
Individual course weightages are as follows.
A theory course:
Continuous evaluation—30%
Exam: End Semester – 70% ii) Project work
Continuous assessment: 30%; evaluation and viva-voce exam: 70%.
Report evaluation—20%
Vocal exam—50%
5.2.1 Students’ performance and engagement in objective/subjective assessments will determine their continuous assessment internal marks.
5.2.2 Anna University providing online programs shall conduct end-semester exams either using technology-enabled online tests with all security measures to ensure transparency and credibility, or through Proctored Examinations in accordance with UGC standards. Examination attendance will be verified by biometrics using Aadhaar or other government identifiers for Indian students and passports for international students.
5.3 A team of Internal and External Examiners will conduct an online Viva-Voce Examination and project report evaluation to evaluate project work at the end of the semester. Examiners will be nominated by the Director of Evaluations, Anna University, Chennai-600 025.
5.4 A student who commits malpractice in continuous assessment, end-semester work, or project work may be punished by the University’s disciplinary committee in accordance with University regulations.
